Several major manufacturers have recently issued price increase letters.
The following manufacturers have recently issued letters notifying customers of price adjustments due to significant supply chain disruptions and rising raw material costs. Buyers are encouraged to plan accordingly and contact Plastic Service Centers for current pricing and availability.
Dow Inc.
Polyethylene (PE)
Effective: April–May 2026
- Implemented a 10¢/lb hike in March, followed by a significant 30¢/lb increase starting April 1, 2026.
- Management signaled expectations for a further 20¢/lb increase in May, citing persistent supply disruptions through the end of 2026.
LyondellBasell (LYB)

- Seeking a cumulative 35¢/lb total increase between March and May 2026.
- Planned 10¢/lb in March, a revised 15¢/lb for April, and an additional 10¢/lb for May.

- Implemented a global price increase across its entire engineered materials portfolio starting April 1, 2026.
